Hi, does the Neo HDMI 2.0 box turn itself (and the LED strip) on automatically when it detects a video signal, and off automatically when the video signal ends?
And can you confirm a) CEC is definitely supported and active in the 2.0 box, and b) Dolby Atmos pass-thru works fine?
Finally, any further update on the 2.1 box availability?
From what I have experienced, I leave the Neo 2.0 box powered on all the time. If there is no video signal coming into it‘s HDMI Input, there is no LED’s light up. When I start my AVR/TV and the Neo 2.0 gets a signal, the lights come on.
I use a Harmony Elite to control the system. If the Neo 2.0 was in the Harmony database, I would likely turn it off and on with the system. The hub based Harmony remotes support IR/Bluetooth and IP (WiFi).
Unfortunate that the Neo 2.0 doesn’t support IR…
If you’re bringing out a 2.1 version so soon after the 2.0 version, you can definitely have mine back. What a con.
Hello there.
Thanks for your messages.
1- After the Neo sync box is successfully connected to the device (TV and phone APP) for the first time, it does not need WIFI. It can be controlled by your phone.
2- Neo 2.0 supports CEC full channel.
3- It does not support Dolby Atmos. It needs extra HDMI source to your TV.
I attached the picture for your reference.
For 2.1 version, it is still on the way and the exact launched time still remain unknown. Please stay tuned:)
