I have exactly the same issue, so far tried some 3m foam tape which lasted one day, now using unibond sticky pads from B&M which has so far worked better apart from on 3 of the clips.
I personally feel it’s something todo with the plastic clips, maybe to do with the heat from the led strip which breaks down the bond. possibly a design flaw.
I attached my sync box, which is much heavier than the lights, to the back of my TV with two 3M command strips -- tape designed to the removed, and it sticks just fine.
Ditto. Same issue on mine that I just received. It lasted about 2 or 3 weeks (lost track) then they started falling off. the same thing, where the plastic falls off, but the stickers remain on the TV. I don't know why this isn't using a real 3M adhesive.
Same issue here... The clips fell off the back of the TV after 4 days. The tape remained attached to the TV. I had other LED strips attached to my TV (from when I tried to do a DIY ambilight, which I will most likely go back to, since the LED's freeze after a few minutes) with 3M tape, so, I don't want to hear: "Due to the complex and diverse use environment, the life of the fixing glue may be affected. " It was 4 days!

Be honest. These are not real 3M double sided tape, it's a cheap Chinese nock off. I have never had real 3M tape do this when the surface is properly cleaned. Are you assembly people not properly cleaning the plastic guides?
