Light falling off TV

Has anyone figured out what to use to keep the lights attached to the TV? My corners and some straights are all falling off my TV after just a few weeks of usage.

Tried email support, hopefully they have a solution.

I absolutely cleaned my TV with alcohol prior to fixing the tape. It's just horrible table... In fact, the tape is still on the TV.. it not on the brackets though, which they were pre-installed on.

Stick one side to the TV and the other to the clip that holds the lights. Works really well for me

Ugh, the lights won't stop falling off. Why do you use such junk? you have a cool product, and then you diminish it by using junk plastic that the 3M tape won't stick to. If similar products are available, please recommend which ones to use.

Man, I’m honestly so disappointed that they didn’t want to accept me returning the product. For the price, I expect high quality products and unfortunately this is not one of them. Instead they sent me additional clips with bigger 3M stickers for extra support. I’ve yet to even try mounting it again from how discouraged I am…

Had the exact same issue with my setup on my 75" Sony, clean the area where the holder is to be placed with IPA and then use some low temperature hot glue to affix the holder, you may need to do this for every light strip holder, I did mine a few months ago and have not had any issues since. I just put mine on last week and I woke up one day with the entire strip off with the adhesive still on the tv. I bought the gorilla glue mounting tape which is supposed to be strong and was looking good. Woke up this morning with the entire strip off again. The adhesive is still on the TV, so it came off with the mounts still on there. It’s the plastic on the mounts that don’t have enough grip or something. Idk but it’s becoming a problem :/

The developer sent me a new set of brackets — i only wanted the tape, so I appreciate having extras. Now, as they fall off, I remove the bracket, scuff the surface with 80 grit Sand paper, then clean with rubbing alcohol (IPA), then I spray the back with construction adhesive (3M) spray, and let it sit for 5-10 minutes, then I re-apply the bracket. If that bracket causes me more problems, I remove the 3M tape from TV, and use a heat gun to apply the new 3M tape to the bracket. I set the temp to 250 which seems to be cool enough to not melt the plastic, but to soften it enough to bond with the glue. it‘a A lot to go through, but it’s all stuff I have on-hand and it works.

That’s great for those who are able to go through all that trouble when the product should just work. Or accept a return from your customers when the item doesn’t work as intended right out of the box.

Oh I agree. But it is still less money than Hue’s solution, and doesn’t use a less than effective camera based solution like Govee‘s. Honestly, I hat the brackets and think they need to fix it, but I am open to spending anoth $10/20 To make it work

do what i did and get the mould from one of the users on here and have more flat pieces ... the weight of the lights pulls the strips off the tv...need more brackets to offset the weight

@Shane Van Ross it’s only a 42” TV. No run is more than 5” without a bracket.

Due to the material of the bracket, its smooth surface has little friction, resulting in the tapes can not be well bonded. It may also affect the stickers life due to inconsistent TV specifications or heat after working for a period of time. Plus, the light strips weight is also an issue for the holding.

We suggest you can purchase similar clips or holders for the fixing issue. Or you can apply more double side tape for the fixing.
