This is a call to protest against this company policy!!
Your product does not comply with the advertised technical specifications. Your website advertises that the Neo2.0 box delivers accurate color reproduction for DolbyVision, HDR and SDR sources. But the box definitely cannot fulfill this in any way. The box simply got no technical components to do this in a right way:
no 1080p downscale,
no working colorspace conversion for DolbyVision
no working HDR colorspace conversion
generally no color and brightness conversion to BT.709 SDR.
only 1080P SDR Material is working correct.
If you do no conversion, there is no way to get accurate color reproduction, because the led stripes can only work correct in BT.709 SDR.
Your advertising on the website is not only misleading, it is just a poor photoshop fake.
Therefore I am expecting a full refund of the purchase price because your product does not and never will support the advertised features!
Who else agrees with me? We as customers cannot put up with that!
Interesting the picture at the top of the forum changed - only said support 4k/50 now.
they took away HDR and Dolby Vision. This means they know there is a huge problem and they sold us something that does not work.
Lytmi do the decent thing and give customers who bought the "alpha test box" a full refund.
Also Lytmi test the stuff before you advertise and sell it. Not even the stickers stick - this is not rocket science. Other manufacturers of light strips have been able to offer stickers that stick.
Try and earn the trust back!
Loads of YouTubers who have received free Neo 2.0 boxes have made false advertisements - this in the end is not good for lytmi.
I'm just using 1080p content, no HDR or DV and having big problems. This isn't usable... Here's my issue: It initially didn't work (the LED's would freeze, then go black) for about an hour, and then started working, and worked for probably 8 hours. Then it started having issues. LED's would freeze for a few seconds or a few minutes, and then start working again for a few seconds, and then freeze for a few seconds to minutes.... The other modes (rainbow, music, etc) work fine.... I tried several different HDMI cables and inputs (Nvidia Shield, Nintendo Switch), tried restarting and resetting everything. Nothing works.... I made a video of the issue: https://youtu.be/SR2qVODXLFw... I would prefer to find a solution instead of returning it. I emailed support for help.... I bought this directly from Lytmi (not paypal or amazon), so, concerned about getting a refund if support can't help me... AND, on top of all this, the clips that hold the LED's to the TV fell off, after a few days (the tape came off the clips).
I bought this based on the positive youtube reviews. But, going back and re-watching, I noticed they all got their kits for free. It seems THAT influenced the reviews. If I can't get this resolved, I will be tagging/commenting on those reviews with my video and feedback (and recommending prospective customers check ALL the negative feedback on this forum).... It is very concerning to see that pretty much all the feedback on this forum is negative. Is anyone NOT having issues (IE, does this work for anyone)?
They sell untested products and then try to buy time with untested solutions, that do not work. Wasting time and nerves of customers.
Just shows one cannot trust bought Youtube reviews.
@ajey Same here. This is unacceptable.
Hey Lytmi! You trying to joke me??? I filled the return request and now you paid 40$ Refund for a product that's not working? Take your product back and send me a full Payback!!!! I'm pretty much upset at the moment!!!!!
The splitter arrived today and the problem got even worse. Now I got black screen like before plus light fallouts in addition. And the moment where it runs it got lag. This is the most disappointing product I ever received. I also bought addition 8K HDMI cables before in believe I got wrong cables. Who pays me those? Plus all the time I spent in hope to get the product running and making videos to showcase the problem. You can have the product back, including the senseless splitter you sent me. This has been a complete mess! On top of that you guys have partly blocked me from the facebook group for no reason.
What should i say. I am dissapointed that the website states: DolbyVision/HDR compatible and in fact it's NOT :-( also not with the splitter some of you already got. My box is currently on the way, but i will open a complete refund case when it's arrived and tested.
It's bad that i let me blinding by the pretty photoshop website :-(
Same Here! I want to have a refund for the false Advertisement. HDR is not working. I preordered mine. So the 30 days are left. How can i get a refund now? Lytmi Customer Service - shame on you. I can show some emails to let other customers know how you handle it, when someone is unsatisfied with your product. If you really are a serious company why are you not responsible for your mistake and pay me my money back or at least 50% Cashback?
It’s ok to get a refund when you’ve bought box late December. But I’ve bought it early December so my 30 days are gone and I’ve now a useless box here.
@Kuba indeed, the splitter does not work. I’ve made a ticket to the customer service to hear what they’ve got to say.
In fact: I've checked when I've received the box
. It was on December 27th. So it's not yet 30 days ago. Yeah, it was send on December 11th so what now? @wendell hu @Jack @Lytmi Order day != refund day
Hi, for all those unhappy customers. This is Wendell from Lytmi, I do agree with your request as I am a customer too. We just emergently luanched a "return & refund" workflow in the website, in which you can apply for full cashbach without a hassle. You can either go through the refund process here or turn to Paypal as another friend mentioned, or just write to our customer support. We will keep our promise, 30 day hassle-free return & refund, but I apologise if there were something we did wrong! It's absolutely so sad to lose you guys, but always appreciate your support and well understanding. I do believe our product and services will get better and better with all your honest feedbacks, no matter positive or negative. Thank you so much! By the way, if there's any issue in the refund process, just throw a call to my personal number at any time, +86 150 0010 7446. I will immidiately get involved.
If you paid by PayPal you can get a refund. I opened up a case against them and PayPal closed the case in my favour giving me a full refund and I keep the item. No doubt other people here have opened PayPal cases against them, so PayPal will see that they have a lot of unhappy customers. You should be able to get a refund if you paid by card too.
They don't know what they are selling 💩💩😂... Cashback is the way and buying the HDFury
Dear Lytmi team,
Your product must reproduce the colors from screen. HDR colors are only faded out if the end device can't handle HDR. And that's the point! Your product can't handle HDR and Dolby Vision. That's why the colors of your LEDs do not match to the colors shown on HDR TV.😒
Your splitter will not fix Dolby Vision colors! Perhaps the splitter can correct HDR gamma. We will see....
Hi there.
Thanks for your detailed feedback.
I am sorry to let you know the Dolby Vision is unstable. Our R&D team has confirmed the customized splitter can work with Dolby Vision. We could offer free customized splitter for your Neo HDMI 2.0 version. Dolby Vision could be transmitted to TV through this customized splitter. Please email our support with your order number to get the customized splitter.
It's normal for HDR colors display fade. Because compared with SDR, HDR is white light brightening. I suggest you can set SDR for comparison. HDR light color will be faded and lighter than SDR. Because HDR has increased white light, and it leads to a little chromatic aberration.
I have submitted your precious advises to our developing team. We are working hard to improve the saturation and optimize it.
I got the same opinion.
I think I will ask for a 50% cashback or i will go for a full refund.
