Is there any info on when neo 2.1 is going to be available? anyway for neo 2.0 - I was very keen on purchasing but when I reviewed the forum there are so many complaints regarding issues. My questions I guess:
1) Is it a small minority having issues - are there a majority of people with NO issues at all with their neo 2.0? 2) has lytmi officially come out to state whether HDR is supported? I note that the box/public specs say it supports HDR but in many posts here, lytmi customer support suggests to use SDR instead. Is it the case some people can't have HDR supported but others cant? 3) my use case will be nvidia shield (non-pro) 2019 - streaming sites like netflix, youtube, disney etc. Is there anything I need to be aware about? 4) Are black bars actually ignored by neo 2.0 or are there issues with it? Notice quite a few users post about black bar issues
Hello there,
The 2.1 version is literally on the wayyyyy! We will keep it updated and feel free to join our FB gourp to catch up the latest trend:)) FB: https://www.facebook.com/groups/976102942951302/
1) The technical things and algorithm is hard to explain but our R&D do improve a lots to reduce the failure probability.
2) Neo 2.0 do support HDR and we do have the related explanation and studies about the HDR problem. It's normal for HDR colors to display faintly. Compared with SDR, HDR is white light brightening.HDR light color will be faded and lighter than SDR. Because HDR and DV has increased white light, and it leads to a little chromatic aberration.
We are working hard to improve the saturation and optimize it.
3) Neo 2.0 support up to 4k60 hz. Technically speaking, it supports your nvidia shield to allow the streaming sites you mentioned.
4) For the black bars refill, the R&D team considers that the source of the movie is either 21:9 or 16:9 ratio. (Only the black bars refill algorithm is added on the top and bottom sides)Â
Hope the information helps!
