Maybe a Solution for the HDR-Color Issue?

i found maybe a Solution for the Color issue.

Maybe helps a HDR to SDR Converter... i think this will Fix the Problem for Only HDR10 but a Solution is a Solution. could someone try it out like that? I don't have an HDR to SDR converter at home. lets find a Solution Together

And what I do not understand is how they continue to sell their product on their page, knowing everything they know and that it does not work, I am reading many messages from new clients who ask that the lights and the Lytmi do not work for them ...... how do not make a very very very good box in the next version and compensate those of us who bought this office paperweight 2.0.... they are going to have many problems... Besides, the solutions that I read, are to spend more with more boxes and spliters behind the tv. Let's see what the future holds...

They only say HDMI 2.0 support with DV and HDR.. so that's true ... Because HDMI 2.0 does. And the lights give some lights... But the color is not correct. I'll think the product is not there own... They just selling the box and want to sell other lightsystems to use them in there app.

If they really want to produce a quality ambilight for DV and HDR... This is really no simple and cheap task. You have to downscale and transform from HDR to SDR to get the right lightning. All the calculation must be fast to get no latency.

At the end the product is so expensive no one will buy it.... The perfekt working HDFURY Diva ambilight kit is around 550 dollar 😂😁

So this is the cheap way with many limitations.

@NetX You are absolutely right, this system is cheap but in the end we are left with LED strips to turn them on with an application and give color to the wall. For that we have many more beautiful lighting systems much cheaper than Lytmi. Sometimes it is worth waiting and saving and buying an expensive product that we know will work. Lytmi promised many things that if I found out they weren't going to work, my money would be saved for a future product of the brand that works, which is what we all want... I don't know how Lytmi is going to solve it what you say... let's hope for a miracle.

The only working all in one solution is the HDFury Diva. But it's very expensive... But supports HDR and DV conversion to SDR. And this ist the only way to get it to work. The conversion is not simple because HDR and DV sources are not made to show as SDR and every source is mastered in a different way.

I'll think the LytMi guys just changed the HDMI chips to support 2.0.... that's all. Color processing is the same as in neo 1.4...

And they will update no to 2.1 HDMI chips in next version ... That's all 😂😂😂

SDR material looks cool but the HDMI and DV support is company bullshit!

Also, by not having a TV connected to the Neo 2.0 HDMI Out, it will tell converters and other devices connected to the Neo 2.0 HDMI In that it is only capable of 4K/30 not the 4K/60 the Neo 2.0 is capable of. Might not be a problem in some cases, but with video switch/processors like the HDFury VRROOM it does tend to be an issue.

One way around this is to connect the Neo 2.0 HDMI Out to another input on the TV. It will then send the TV’s information back out.

in Germany cost the Phillips Hue Bundle 364€ on sale, normal price 490€. the biggest issue i have with a Philips hue System is only 7 Zones... 3 top and each site only 2 and on the Bottom is nothing.... maybe lytmi will find a cheap solution in china?

@bleahy20 I connect everything to my home theater receiver, so I don’t need a switch. That goes into the input on the HDR to SDR switch. Then I connect the Lytmi 2.0 to output 4 and the switch forces the HDR to SDR. Output 1 goes to my TV. CEC no longer works but I use an Alexa routine to turn everything on and off. With this setup I get 4K HDR and Dolby Atmos.

@Exokaz What’s interesting is that the switch will pass through Dolby Vision to my TV but my TV does HDR only so I can’t comment.

Well, the HDR2SDR Converter will cost more than 200€, i am afraid somthing around 400€ (HDFury). If you are willing to pay this, it is a solution ;-)
