Dear all.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to you for the trust you place in us and in Neo 2.0.
After multiple tests before the shipment, our developing team has already found out Dolby Vision cannot be used in Fire Cube and Fire Max. These days we have received some 2.0 feedback for the Dolby Vision on other devices. The R&D team found Dolby Vision cannot be used directly. And it cannot be solved by software upgrade, since it is fixed in the chip.
We are dealing with the splitter solution for Dolby Vision. Dolby Vision could be transmitted to TV through this splitter. Our team will confirm this solution in 2-3 days. After confirmation, for those who have received the Neo 2.0 version, we would offer a free splitter.
Thanks again for your great support and your understanding would be appreciated.
I picked up one of these: https://amazon.com/dp/B07VP37KMB/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_VG9WCEWTSG2BYGGR6Z2W
While it works to get Dolby Vision to my TV, I can't run Dolby Vision and my Lytmi at the same time. The colors from the Lytmi are off which causes things to look weird (blue on the TV outputs green on the Lytmi). So I'm still stuck with using HDR if I want everything to sync and look m.
I used the splitter but no Dolby Vision on my LG C6V; anybody else succeeded Dolby Vision with the splitter (so did I do something wrong)?
Could you not update the firmware of the Lytmi box to not accept Dolby Vision? It seems I can actually get Dolby Vision through the box to the TV, it's just the LED lights that are off color. If the Lytmi box could simply filter out the Dolby Vision signal and just use the standard HDR signal, the colors would at least be accurate on the lights controlled by the Lytmi.
Thanks for this info and providing a fix. I have loved it so far and am looking forward to having it work in Dolby Vision as well.
I sent an email about the spiliter on 16.12. I have no answer. My order number is LM5013.
This sounds like a joke...
I hope this does not mean a downgrade in image quality.
Will CEC work thru this splitter also?
Very thanks.
Hello.
how will we claim the shipment of the free splitter, those who have bought the neo 2.0?
Will they automatically send it to everyone? or should we request it?
Thank you.
I completely agree with this post and feel the product has been mis-sold I am waiting for a response from my mail to the support as to whether my order can be cancelled or returned as it’s not to the specification I was sold.
How could you advertise the system as compatible with Dolby Vision if it wasn't? How would your tests not have shown this? I'm sure a lot of people, like myself, only placed an order because it was advertised to support such content out of the box.
This is a massive oversight of your team and very disappointing as a customer.
I appreciate the apparent urgency to find a solution but this should have been done before launch and shipment.
