I recently bought a Neo 2.0 for my tv mainly to use for gaming. However there seems to be an issue with the latency between the lights and what is on my screen. I originally believed this to be an issue with my HDMI cable but after trying many separate cables this isn't the case. Would there be a way to implement a low latency mode for gaming into the app? Or is this something that would need to be implemented into the hardware itself? This makes for a very distracting experience and I find myself having to turn the brightness down so it doesn't get in the way. I have attached a video using the high setting (recommended for games) and around 70% brightness.

i have the same issue. it is very off putting
Got the same issue on my Neo 2.0 and it’s the biggest issue of the product.
I got exactly same answer from Lytmi, the latency was even worse in the previous 1.4 version, to a point it was distracting so I got rid of it. Won’t be buying this one eather until this is improved. There should be at least an option for “zero latency” even if it would need to suffer from less detailed color capture in my opinion..
I've got an xbox series x as the input source so there shouldn't be a problem. Shouldn't the high setting do something different compared to the others? The latency of the lights does not visibly change between weak, normal and high. Is there a way to disable this "softening" effect at all? I expected it to react much quicker than it does considering its reading input directly from the device.
Hi there.
May I kindly know your devices for the INPUT source? Since Neo 2.0 version can support up to 4K 60 FPS HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.3.
It evolves something like "Softening Algorithms". And the necessity to introduce the softening algorithms, or put it another way, the slight latency is to make sure when the onscreen content changes even rapidly , the lights will sync the colors and effects in a way that’s is eyes-friendly by making a softening transition by reducing the dazzling effects on the eyes if the lights flash rapidly.
There are three screen sync modes in the app:
●Weak Mode: fit best with TV series, cartoons, (advised mode for the young and the old)
●Normal Mode: fit best with movies, games, etc., (mostly used mode for most people)
●High Mode: fit best with games (advised mode for those who has high demand in synchronization effect)
