Along with the several posts here in the community I am disappointed with the color accuracy when playing HDR/Dolby Vision content the fact that advertise this product as being compatible with HDR and Dolby Vision is false a best it will pass the signal to your TV but the Neo 2.0 box doesn't know how to handle it. Further more the Neo 2.0 will not passthrough Dolby TrueHD sound.
For people who have Dolby Vision problems my setup is as follows: Shield 2019 Pro to Sony AV receiver, from Reciever to TV. I do not have issues with my TV detecting Dolby Vision
On the app side of things their Lytmi app is garbage. Who has a home network that isn't a mesh of 2.4 and 5Ghz in 2022? Luckily their app is a rip off of Smart Home so I was able to adopt the light in that app on my Google Wifi Network and have all the same features.
I have contacted support to start the return process. I will update this post with my progress
Hello,
For the hdr signal, the problem would be solved if the source could have two hdmi outputs:- one would pass the hdr signal and would be connected directly to the TV.The other would be connected to a converter which would transform the hdr signal into an sdr signal and which would be connected to the Ltymi box, the one then functioning fully. On the one hand, we would have an HDR image on the TV and optimal operation of the light strips operating on an sdr signal.
I have the same issue. In HDR and Dolby Vision modes the colours of Lytmi are not correct. Just impossible to watch. I Use Apple TV with LG Nano Cell
OK... I see...may be the problem is in my second cable (from NEO to TV). I will try as I receive the new quality one
My setup Nivida shield connected to Neo 2.0 connected to Sony AVR connected to LG CX. I get both HDR and Dolby Vision.
Neo 2.0 is on Firmware
Product Update 1.0.0
Main Module 1.0.2
MCU module 1.1.3
I mean DB with NEO box (Lytmi).
Shield Pro 2019 can pass it. But Neo - ?
Yes I have the LG CX and Shield Pro 2019 and when I play a Dolby Vision movie (either from local media or a streaming app) my TV displays Dolby Vision logo and the movie plays in Dolby Vision. It's just the colors aren't as
Have you even seen the signal Dolby Vision on your TV (via Lytmi NEO box) ?
I have found the NEO box can nor pass Dolby Vision
This is when thew signal goes from player to TV through NEO box
No Dolby Vision but the film has DV 100%
And this is when the signal goes from player to TV directly (without NEO box)
