I've just bought an HDR->SDR conversion box to try and solve the problems we all have. Also I have 2 HDR 4k 60hz HDMI splitters so I can have my PS5 and Gaming PC on Low Latency input modes on my TV but also use the NEO 2.0, heres my setup

The HDR has slightly improved on the PC but not to the extent I was hoping for, it is still washed out compared to when i turn off HDR on the video settings, but it it better showing some reds in the image. 😕
on the sky side my TV doesnt drop a signal or sound anymore but the NEO 2.0 still flickers on an off 🤐
so after spending yet another £90 I still have a half baked solution 😣
I'm giving up any hope now and just going to live with it. 😒
I wonder if the HdFury does a better job in converting HDR to SDR.
Anyway it does seem to be complex
I have compared both pictures and there is definitely a difference between the two the colours and are more muted with the conversion unit
even with the conversion the neo led colours are still muted and nowhere near what they should be and if I put the PC in SDR mode they are so vibrant
So I haven’t a clue what this conversion unit is actually doing and why the neo isn’t picking it up as SDR
i plugged the output of the neo into hdmi4 of my samsung js9500 which should do the trick but how do i find out if its a hdr sugnal or not?? the info button only tells me if its UHD or not (which it is btw)
What makes you think this wont output a true sdr signal? isnt that what its for?
ive tried rgb, 444, 422 (10&12bit) and 420 (10&12bit) on the nvdia driver but it doesnt help the colours on the neo
It will take a bit of effort to pull everything out but when I have the time I'll try and let you know
I saw that one before and I hesitated if the output is true SDR or only a downscale to 1080p..
Are you able to plug in your TV onto the HDMI cable to the NEO? Just to test on TV whether it receives true SDR
