    Smart TV and apps.

    in General Discussion

Hi all and Lytmi team, I received my Neo 2.0 yesterday and loving it. The only thing I’m annoyed about is not being able to access apps straight from the TV and only from my PS5. Since my PS5 doesn’t support DV I only get HDR. the colours are a bit washed out and pale through HDR. SDR they are beautiful and everything is in sync. Is there a way I can access TV apps straight from my TV and also can you implement a colour saturation for HDR on your app in the next software update and also can you make the TV to be the input via HDMI?

    Thanks

    Hi there.

Thanks for your feedback and messages for us.

Neo can connect to devises via HDMI. And it cannot be used to sync the internal TV APP or any built in TV APP. Neo Sync Box needs an external source that uses a HDMI cord.

For the HDR issue, it's normal for HDR colors to display faintly. Because compared with SDR, HDR is white light brightening. And it might lead to a little chromatic aberration.

May I kindly know if it happens under any mode or just sync mode?

I have submitted your feedback to our developing team. We are working hard to improve the saturation and optimize it.

@Lytmi it happens only in HDR sync mode the brighter lights. SDR is beautiful……..so for me to get the TV apps working I would need a HDMI splitter and swap between TV and PS5??

@nickandgab I believe the HDMI splitter is needed for multiple devices, since Neo current version only has 1 HDMI port. Our technical team is working hard and optimizing it.
