Where can I get a new LED Strip?

    in General Discussion

    Hello,

I need new LED strips for the 1.4 version. Where can I buy one? Especially with a USB connection? And what kind of strips are originally used? WS2812?

I already tried these with an adapter:

    https://www.ebay.de/itm/353567436988?var=622865202026

But with these strips the colors are wrong, for example red = pink, green = turquoise and blue = light green.

    I hope someone can help...

    Hi there,

I am afraid the LED strips in your provided pics are not the original one from Lytmi. And the separated LED strips links have not been on our website yet.

Sure you could purchase the LED strips individually. We now have 2 sizes available: 66-90 inch and 91-120 inch. The price for 66-90 inch is $35, for 91-120 inch is $40.(Shipping fees not included)

You could contact us via emai for the further purchasing: support@light-mi.com

Any solutions yet? I also have to extend the led for my beamer wall.

Is there some type compatible with this box?

Not yet... the one I brought (the one in the picture) looks almost identically to the original. But like I said, the colors dont match.

    Hi,

yes the strip in the picture is the one I brought afterwards, not the original. I was just wondering why they don't display the correct color.

I just sent an email to the provides address. Thank you for your help!

I am not quiet sure. The one of your link looks almost identically to the original. But I dont want to test x amount of strips just to see if they work or not because you have to cut of the connector which makes it impossible to get your money back if they dont work.

Thats why I brought new strips directly via email, just like Lytmi recommends. Thats $35 + $10 shipping to germany for the 66-90 inch version. Now I can be sure that they will work correctly.

Do you use Pin D+ for Data out? I think i‘m going to Order the led stripe from my link and try it out.

I think it was D- 🤔. But I definitely tried both, D- and D+. With one of them the LEDs where only white (so no data input for the color), with the other pin colors could be displayed, but like I mentioned with wrong colors.

Please tell us if the one you posted do work correctly. That would be nice to know!

I believe what’s happening is , you are using light strip with different RGB color order than Light Mi strips. You can get light strips in BRG,GBR..etc configurations depending on manufacturer. Normally addressable light strip controllers have settings in them to compensate for different order and show right Colors. If you can find what RGB order Light Mi strips are, probably can use different strips on Neo controller.

Yeah thats possible. But it is hard to find addressable led strips with 12V and 60 LED per metre with a different RGB order. Especially if the seller dont give any information about that.

So hallo @all, i solved the problem with the following parts and it works perfekt with the NEO

    WS2812 ECO 5M 300 LEDs RGB... https://www.amazon.de/dp/B088FK8NG6?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

    JZK Power Step-down Transformer... https://www.amazon.de/dp/B06XSCCLCD?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

The 5m strip it’s enough for 55-65 tv
