Recently, we got tons of feedback like these:
"Does this one support hdmi 2.1. My tv doesnt though but just a general question for the future of the device."
"My tv is 90% of the time in hdr at 4k 60fps. Im always gaming either on ps5 or xbox series x. Id like to review the future hdmi 2.1 unit."
"That's a shame that it doesn't support all those things. Apparently, Philips Hue Sync box already has an update out (as per their website), that they now support 4K 60/120Hz and Dolby Atmos - so this would feel like a step backwards, although price wise it is a lot cheaper.
"Does it support Dolby Vision? HDMI 2.1? 120 FPS?"
"You priced this well I think. I would be will to pay a premium for a premium model.
...
So we are curious that are you also looking forward to the HDMI 2.1 version? And what's your expectation for HDMI2.1 version? Or put it in simple words, what do you need us to integrate into the HDMI 2.1 version?
Vrr support is must for me hope to see update on that
Hi Lytmi,
Very happy to see some competition to Philips Hue. I look forward to the HDMI 2.1 edition with support for full 120Hz 4K DV support. I have got an LG G1 & XBox Series X. I am happy to offer myself for beta testing if needed. Look forward to the new product.
2.1?
Any news on a release date for the 2.1 version?

Hello
If I send a 4k@120hz signal into the box will the lights still work but just not pass the signal through?
I was planning on using the lights with an HDMI splitter so do not need the pass-through to support 4k@120Hz but the input will be 4k@120Hz.
I look forward to my Neo Sync box supporting HDMI 2.1 soon, as I can't use it presently when watching my Satellite TV in 4K . The Satellite box requires HDMI 2.1 for 4K , so no HDMI 2.1 no Lytmi Neo effects :(
what should the version HDMI 2.1 have to do: full color with any image format (SDR/HDR10/DolbyVision), no latency, connect and sync with more lamps/LED for Ambilight in the whole room, 1x hdmi 2.1 in and maybe 1-2x hdmi 2.0 in, 4K 120Hz, eARC, VRR, WiFi 5G, red/green/blue slider to adjust/improve the colors according to your own feelings (e.g. to balance the wall color)
Please, please, please add Dolby Vision support. Since so much content is DV these days, my Lytmi 2.0 is constantly not able to work properly and I usually just have to switch it off (or to normal backlight mode).
Just want to say that I'm definitely looking forward to an HDMI 2.1 version of this product, as well as one that can support the full 4k 120Hz. Hue Sync hasn't figured both of those out, yet, so you guys could really blow them out of the water.
More than 1 HDMI input, with HDMI-CEC auto-switching and firmware upgradeable. Also a public (local) API to control the device from within the home via a standard RESTful web interface.
Guys, make ambilight by yourself. I just did. Thanks Jack from Lytmi to point me to the github in one of discussion here. Then I started looking, found guide, bought parts and set all last weekend. Of course, you need some experience in electronics, a bit of soldering, it's less elegant then commercial product but you will have satisfaction of building by yourself. Software is open source, a lot of tweaking (for example strip can start anywhere, not upper left corner). And works great!

Probably a month after the unbadged ones appear on AliExpress 😂😂😂
Is there an updated ETA for the 2.1 hardware and new sync box?
Will this be your product or a rip off rebadge with no ability to do firmware updates just like the 2.0 version everyone bought? Can’t believe you’re peddling an updated version when the 2.0 version doesn’t even work with HDR.
Will we be able to buy just the sync unit and simply plug our existing LEDs (from 2.0 in my case) into it? or will we have to buy the entire kit?
I notice a slight lag in the led lights being just a little behind the picture with the 2.0 version. Will the 2.1 version respond a little faster to make it less jarring for movies?
Also, with my 85" TV, the double sided tape on keeps unsticking from the holders especially at corners. Well the new version have better holders, and is there a way to just purchase more to take the weight off each one?
Gracias y propicios dias.🙁
I almost bought 2.0 version, then read comments, problems and that 2.1 is coming out... Now, I'm impatiently waiting for 2.1 :)
