Hi, this is Wendell, thanks so much for all those informative and great advices. Me personally is also thinking about the value of ambient light. Actually it's quite hard for us to completely understand the ambient lighting or customers demands at the begining. Cause we are making this projects for your western users, rather than Chinese. In China, the ambient lighting market is almost a virgin. We have no way to learn from any competitors or customers, cuz there's none. We had bought some devices from west, including Hue, Govee, nanoleaf, twinkly, but this is not enough. It's pretty important to learn from you guys, the real users. And that's why we persist to build the forum here and Facebook. We need to look, hear and think what real users need. It's quite hard for the whole team for all those criticizes but it's worthy for growing-up. Regarding to the lighting algorithm, I agree with your partial opinion. We just tested out a new algorithm, capturing only ONE MAIN COLOR for EACH SIDE of SCREEN and transmit to the corresponding lightstrip, to reduce the distraction while watching normal movies. I'm also thinking about to hand over partial control from NEO to users, like displaying one color by 3 LEDs or 6 LEDs or 1 LEDs. In Hue's solution, each 6 LEDs is controlled by one individual IC, which means they are displaying less colors and less distractions in some conditions. Anyway, it's good to hear from you. Thank you so much!
